Altinkum is a wonderful family orientated resort which provides, in addition to a wonderful clean beach and safe swimming areas the resort caters for all age groups.The restaurants are very child friendly and the food on offer is varied and very palatable and reasonably priced.The locals in the resort will help whenever they can and are very friendly and most can speak enough English to get you through your querie.There are good shopping facilities on the beach and also within 5 minutes walk from the beach with a very good bus service to cater for the ones who wish to venture further into other areas and to other attractions.

Altinkum translates as ‘golden sands’ and this resort deserves the name by having 3 splendid sandy beaches.

Altinkum is on the southern Aegean coast of Turkey between Izmir to the north and (nearer to) Bodrum in the south. A ferry ride to Bodrum takes 1 hour but a car journey takes 2 hours because of the curve of the bay. Transfer times from Bodrum airport are about 1 and ½ hours and from Izmir about 2 hours.

Whilst prices in the established resorts of Bodrum and Cesme (near Izmir) are higher, the locations in between have been (at least to date) overlooked, making Altinkum an especially good buy. For £100,000 you can own a property worthy of a football star! If owning a holiday home was always an unaffordable dream then see just how easy it can be to make that dream come true. But remember, as more people discover this overlooked treasure, prices are rising.

We can also offer land and some refurbishment / renovation property in Altinkum. Some older villa in Altinkum For Sale that have not been renovated to today’s standards ( but still fine as occasional holiday homes) start at £27,000. Altinkum has a permanent population of around 10,000 and so has a year round community without being a larger commercial town. There is also a growing community of ‘ex pats’ taking advantage of its excellent location, lovely weather and low cost of living.
